I retired in 2022 as a Macmillan Clinical Nurse Specialist & Advanced Nurse Practioner within gynaecological cancers following a 38 year career in the NHS. Seeing the impact cancer and it's treatments had on a persons sexuality and sexual function led me to become an expert on survivorship issues.

I decided to formalise and build on the skills I'd  gained as a nurse diversifying into psychosexual therapy to become a COSRT accredited and UKCP registered psychosexual therapist, to gain accreditation with COSRT & registration with UKCP requires a high level of education, experience, supervision and continuing professional development (CPD). 

Combining nursing & psychotherapy enables me to offer an integrated approach when working with individuals and couples.   Undertaiknig further training to become trauma informed, EMDR practitioner - internal family systems (IFS) & Attachement informed (AI) EMDR, Embodied Reprocessing and Flash Technique added other dimensions to work with PTSD and complex-PTSD.  

 I have been fortunate to be asked to share my knowledge and experience by presenting nationally & internationally, help to organise scientific meetings, writing national guidelines & educational materials and doing web/podcasts (link to presentations/ publications etc). I work with various charities/advocacy groups offering support on expert panels and running workshops for their members.
